Quantum Week 2024LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 14 April 2024 – In recognition of World Quantum Day, the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS) opened registration for Quantum Week 2024, IEEE’s International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering. Taking place 15-20 September in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Quantum Week 2024 will provide a rich educational and networking environment for quantum leaders, with more than 400 hours of content, collaboration opportunities, and innovative demonstrations. The event will further quantum computing by bridging the science behind it with the practical aspects of building a community around it.

“Quantum technologies are changing how we interact with our world,” said Candy Culhane, 2024 IEEE Quantum Week General Chair. “The advancements in quantum science and research have been transforming computing and the way in which we process information. Today, on World Quantum Today, we celebrate how far we, as an industry, have come, and prepare for how Quantum Week will build on that momentum, propelling advancements to the next level.”

Established in 2019, Quantum Week now serves as the premier event for quantum professionals, researchers, educators, and others to learn, engage and shape the future of quantum technology. Registration for Quantum Week 2024 opens April 14, 2024. To register, visit https://cvent.me/2WVbYq. About World Quantum Day

Annually, World Quantum Day is celebrated on 14 April, as a reference to 4.14, which are the rounded first digits of Planck’s constant, a fundamental constant governing quantum physics. Established in 2021, World Quantum Day seeks to promote understanding and discussion of quantum science and technology and how it helps us understand nature at its most fundamental level; how it helped us develop technologies that are crucial for our life today; how it can lead to future scientific and technological revolutions, and how these can impact our society.
